LALIGA: DAZN renews its broadcasting rights for the DACH region for the 2026-2031 cycle

DAZN has renewed its exclusive full broadcasting rights to LALIGA EA Sports for the DACH region and Belgium for a further five seasons over the 2026-2031 cycle, announced the OTT platform on 12/05/2025.

DAZN thus retains its rights for Belgium, Germany and Austria, where the streaming service has been broadcasting the Spanish league since 2016. However, the platform will regain these rights for Switzerland after broadcasting the competition until 2021. DAZN was subsequently replaced by the pay-TV package Blue Sports (Swisscom), which broadcasts the Spanish top flight in Switzerland until 2026.

LALIGA had launched several separate tenders for the rights to broadcast LALIGA EA Sports in various territories in Europe, including the DACH region, on 04/03/2025. The deadline for submitting bids for all the processes was 04/04/2025.

DAZN also holds the broadcasting rights in the DACH region for the Ligue 1 McDonald's (full and exclusive, 2024-2027), Serie A Enilive (full and exclusive, 2024-2027) and the Bundesliga (240 matches per season, until 2029).
