Stade de France: GL events awarded concession until 2054 by the French government

GL events, a group specialised in the event industry, announced on 12/05/2025 that it had been awarded the concession to operate the Stade de France (Saint-Denis, Paris, FRA) by the French government for a period of 30 years, from 05/08/2025 to 04/08/2054. "This decision means that we can now look forward to the signing of the concession contract, and is a decisive step towards taking over management of the stadium on 05/08/2025," said the Group.

The French company based in Lyon (Rhône) was initially designated "preferred bidder" by the French government on 23/04/2025. This official announcement came after the Council of State rejected, on 17/04/2025, the appeal by the Vinci-Bouygues consortium, which has held the current concession since 1995 (Vinci, 67% - Bouygues, 33%), wishing to continue its mission and contesting the State's decision to enter into exclusive negotiations with the GL events group.

The French State, which owns the stadium built by the Vinci and Bouygues groups for the 1998 Football World Cup, had indicated that it had entered into such negotiations with GL events…
