Women's Euro Switzerland 2025: "A powerful catalyst for the growth of women's football" (A. Ceferin)

"The women's Euro is more than just a tournament - it is a powerful catalyst for the growth of women's football from grassroots to elite levels," states Aleksander Ceferin, UEFA president, in the "Women's Euro 2025 Pre-Tournament Impact Report", entitled "Approaching the Summit" and prepared by the economic consultancy EY and published on 12/05/2025 (document available to download).

"The 2025 edition of Europe's biggest women's sports event will raise the bar even higher by showcasing the continent's top female players while leaving a lasting legacy" and will "deliver the most attended, most watched and most compelling women's Euro ever," states the report, which has three "missions" for the event:

• "Set a new global benchmark for international women's sports events;
• Stage a world-class tournament that breaks records, fosters innovation and promotes inclusivity;
• Create an unforgettable and inspiring eventthat leaves a valuable and enduring legacy, both locally and internationally."
