2024-25 Ligue 1 McDonald's: a record average attendance (40,951) & fill rate (93.2%) on Matchday 34

Matchday 34, the final matchday of the 2024-25 Ligue 1 McDonald's season, drew an average of 40,951 spectators per game on Saturday 17/05/2025 (kick-off at 21:00 CET). The average stadium fill rate was 93.2%. These are two figures that have not been achieved by the French top flight since News Tank Football began compiling attendance data each matchday (2016-17 season).

Olympique de Marseille - Stade Rennais FC (4-2) was the game that posted the best attendance, with 57,274 spectators at the Stade Orange Vélodrome (66,226 capacity), which represented a fill rate of 86.5%. This unusually low fill rate for OM can be explained by the closure of the south bend by the LFP's disciplinary committee following the use of pyrotechnic devices by the club's supporters during the match versus Montpellier Hérault SC on 19/04/2025. Seven other fixtures were attended by more than 30,000 spectators.

The 2024-25 Ligue 1 McDonald's season therefore ended with an average attendance of 27,971 spectators per game and an average stadium fill rate of 84.9%.
