European Top 5: 1. FC Köln promoted, 85 of the 96 clubs for the 2025-26 season decided

Following the promotion of 1. FC Köln to the Bundesliga on 18/05, 85 of the 96 clubs that will take part in the European Top 5 leagues in 2025-26 (18 in the Bundesliga and Ligue 1 McDonald's, 20 in the LALIGA EA Sports, Premier League and Serie A Enilive) have now been decided.

As of 19/05/2025, no league yet knows all the clubs that will be participating during the 2025-26 season. However, the following number of clubs are already guaranteed a place in the top flight:
• 19 of the 20 Premier League clubs;
• 16 of the 20 LALIGA EA Sports clubs;
• 17 of the 18 Bundesliga clubs;
• 16 of the 20 Serie A Enilive clubs;
• 17 of the 18 Ligue 1 McDonald's clubs.
