Ligue 1 McDonald's: a record average of 27,948 spectators per match in 2024-25

The Ligue 1 McDonald's had a record average attendance of 27,948 spectators per match at the end of Matchday 34, the final matchday of the 2024-25 season, announced the Ligue de Football Professionnel on 19/05/2025. The French top flight thus beats its record average attendance of 27,113 set in 2023-24.

Other key figures for the 2024-25 Ligue 1 season announced by the LFP include:
• 8.55 million cumulative spectators over the 34 matchdays, up 3% on 2023-24;
• a record average stadium fill rate of 86.7%, up 1% on 2023-24;
• 320,000 season ticket holders for the clubs in 2024-25, an increase of 4%, "with several clubs setting their own season ticket records."

"14 of the 18 Ligue 1 McDonald's clubs have stable or increasing attendances. Five of them exceeded an average of 35,000 spectators: Olympique de Marseille, Olympique Lyonnais, Paris Saint-Germain, LOSC Lille and RC Lens. In addition, seven clubs exceeded the 90% fill rate mark: RC Lens, Paris Saint-Germain, Stade Brestois, RC Strasbourg, Olympique de Marseille, AJ Auxerre and Stade Rennais," said the LFP.
