Saudi Arabia: sovereign wealth fund (PIF) opens an office in Paris, its 5^th international office

The Public Investment Fund has opened an office in Paris (FRA), its fifth international office, announced the sovereign wealth fund of Saudi Arabia on 19/05/2025.

The new office "reflects PIF’s approach to engaging closely with local partners, leading businesses and institutional investors," said the fund, which considers France to be "a priority international market". Its inauguration was scheduled the same day in the presence of Emmanuel Macron at the "Choose France" summit aimed at attracting foreign investment.

"Between 2017 and 2024, PIF invested $84.7bn (€75.2bn) across Europe, adding $52bn (€46.2bn) to the continent's GDP and creating over 254,000 direct and indirect European jobs. These investments included $8.6bn (€7.6bn) in France, which added $4.8bn (€4.2bn) to the nation's GDP and created 29,000 direct and indirect jobs for the French economy," added the PIF, which has not made any investments in a sports organisation in France to date.

• The PIF already has offices in New York (USA), London (ENG), Hong Kong (HKG) and Beijing (CHN).
