The 69th edition of the Ballon d'Or ceremony, co-organised by France Football (Groupe Amaury) and UEFA, will take place at the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris (FRA) on Monday 22/09/2025, announced the two organisations on 19/05/2025.

For the first time, all the trophies previously awarded only to men will also be awarded to women. The Kopa Trophy for the best young female player, the Yashin Trophy for the best female goalkeeper and the Gerd Müller Trophy for the best female striker (club and national team) will thus be awarded for the first time in 2025.

The nominees for each of the awards will be announced "at the beginning of August," according to UEFA and Groupe Amaury.
