Paris Saint-Germain: commune of Ris-Orangis plans to host the future stadium

A 100-hectare site located on the disused former racecourse (83 hectares) and the former LU-Danone factory site (17 hectares) is the location proposed by the commune of Ris-Orangis (Essonne, FRA) for the future home of the Paris Saint-Germain's (Ligue 1 McDonald's) stadium on 14/05/2025.

The project, which has the backing of the Grand Paris Sud and Coeur d'Essonne conurbation communities (with a combined population of 568,000), calls for a stadium "with between 60,000 and 90,000 seats" on a site that is "immediately available, located 25km from the centre of Paris (see accessibility map below), in a young, fast-growing area". The bid was unveiled in the presence of four members of parliament, the two presidents of the conurbations and 20 mayors, all wearing PSG shirts emblazoned with the words "Objectif 2030".

The question of land ownership did not arise. These 100 hectares are being developed by the EPFIF on behalf of the Grand Paris Sud conurbation. The site will be irrigated by a network of several deep geothermal wells, producing clean, renewable and competitive energy. This is…
