USA/World Rugby: national team matches & international competitions to be broadcast on CBS

The American broadcasting group CBS (Paramount Global) has acquired the exclusive US broadcasting rights to World Rugby's international competitions and USA national team matches for the 2025-2029 cycle from World Rugby, announced the body on 22/05/2025.

"Under the agreement, Paramount+ (streaming platform) will stream every match live with select matches airing on CBS and CBS Sports Network," said World Rugby.

Among the competitions broadcast will be the 2025 and 2029 editions of the Women's Rugby World Cup, the Men's Rugby World Cup 2027, the HSBC SVNS (Rugby Sevens Tour), the WXV, the Pacific Nations Cup, the Pacific Four Series and the Men's U20 World Championship.

"All USA men's and women's national team matches are also included in an extensive deal that will serve fans in the US with more rugby content than ever before." The agreement will run "until at least 2029," added World Rugby, while the Men's Rugby World Cup 2031 and the Women's Rugby World Cup 2033 will be held in the USA.
