Canada 2015: FIFA TV and the Japanese channel NHK will produce 10 games, including the final, in 8K

10 of the 52 matches of the 2015 Women's World Cup will be filmed in 8K by FIFA TV production teams in collaboration with the Japanese TV broadcaster NHK, said the international federation on 17/04/2015. 8K technology provides an image quality 16 times great than HD (high definition), that is to say, an image quality of 33.2 megapixels (7680 x 4320 pixels) compared to 2.1 megapixels (1920 x 1080) for the current "full HD" technology.
