LALIGA EA Sports: Ron Gourlay appointed CEO of Valencia CF

Ron Gourlay (GBR) has been appointed CEO of Valencia CF (LALIGA EA Sports), announced the club on 30/05/2025.

"Gourlay brings with him over two decades of top-level experience in football, having held senior executive roles at prestigious clubs such as Manchester United FC, Chelsea FC (Premier League), West Bromwich Albion FC (Sky Bet Championship) and Al-Ahli FC (Roshn Saudi League). His background includes deep expertise in football operations, squad development, and strategic transformation," said the club.

"His appointment underlines Valencia CF's strategy to restore the club's historic position among Europe's elite, with a dynamic leadership now in place that combines Kiat Lim's forward-looking presidency and wide-reaching network and Gourlay's decades of football management expertise," added Valencia CF, three months after the appointment of the Singaporean, son of Peter Lim (majority shareholder of Valencia CF), as president. Lim succeeded Layhoon Chan, who had been president for two terms (between 2014 and 2017 & then from 2022 to 2025).
