Sky plc has 20.84 million direct subscribers at the end of the third quarter of the 2015 fiscal year (from 01/07/2014 to 30/06/2015), or 947,000 more (+4.75%) than on 31/03/2014 (19.9 million) and 242,000 more (+1.17%) than on 31/12/2014 (20.6 million), stated the British broadcasting group (comprising also Sky Deutschland and Sky Italia) at the presentation of its results for the first nine months of fiscal year 2015, on 21/04/2015.

In Germany and Austria, Sky registered 494,000 new subscribers (+13.2%) year-on-year (4.22 million on 31/03/2015), an annual growth record for Sky Deutschland. In the UK and Ireland, the group has 127,000 new subscribers (+1.08%) compared to 31/12/2014, setting the best growth mark for Sky in Q3 in those territories since 2004. In Italy, the number of subscribers stood at 4.746 million at 31/03/2015, down 0.11% year-on-year, but an increase of 0.25% compared to 31/12/2014.
