Ligue 1 TV rights: call for tenders for the production of the LFP channel with 4 distinct lots (press)

The Ligue de Football Professionnel issued a call for tenders on 02/06/2025 for the production of its channel dedicated to broadcasting Ligue 1 McDonald's matches in France from the 2025-26 season, according to the French sports daily L'Équipe on the same day.

According to L'Équipe, this call for tenders for production companies includes four distinct lots: magazines, pre- and post-match content, multiplex management and editorial staff management.

LFP Media and DAZN announced that they had reached an agreement ending their dispute on 02/05/2025. Initially linked by a broadcasting contract for Ligue 1 for five seasons until 2029 (including an exit clause that can be activated at the earliest after two seasons), the parties have agreed to the early termination of this contract from the first year. The LFP now wishes to launch its own channel and is studying the various options open to it, particularly in terms of the content to be offered, production and distribution.
