Bundesliga: uniqFEED virtual advertising solution approved for international broadcasts of matches

The Deutsche Fußball Liga has approved the virtual advertising solution proposed by the Swiss company uniqFEED for use during the international broadcasting of Bundesliga matches, announced the German league on 04/06/2025.

This approval comes after several tests carried out in the Bundesliga during the 2024-25 season. "This provides all clubs wishing to use virtual advertising with another technical solution to specifically increase the international visibility of their partners," explained the DFL, which validated the solution in collaboration with Sportcast, a subsidiary of the DFL specialised in TV production services.

"The system for virtual overlay of the first row of advertising boards and the cam carpets (raised advertisements on the sides of the pitch) has now been approved for league-wide use in the Bundesliga for international live broadcasts," added the German league.

  • In Germany, the use of location-based advertising has been authorised by the DFL since 13/03/2018.
