Serie A: court of Parma authorises sale of Parma FC by "competitive" auction, opening bids at €20m

Judge Dr. Pietro Rogato, the bankruptcy official of the court of Parma (ITA), has authorised Angelo Anedda and Alberto Guiotto, the court appointed bankruptcy trustees currently managing Parma FC (Serie A TIM), to proceed with the sale of club via a "competitive" auction, stated Parma FC in a statement on its website on 21/04/2015. Parma were declared bankrupt by the court of Parma on 19/03/2015.

The first bids for the club must be submitted by 06/05/2015, with the minimum price set at €20m. Both Italian and international groups can make a bid for Parma FC. If no suitable bid is made by 06/05/2015, successive auction processes for the sale of the club will take place on 12, 18, 22, and 28/05/2015, with the price of the opening bid being reduced by 25% for each bidding process.

  • Parma FC is currently 20th and last place in the Serie A TIM after 31 matchdays with 13 points (5 wins, 5 draws and 20 defeats), and seven penalty points deducted by the Lega Serie A Lega Nazionale Professionisti Serie A, the Italian Professional Football League, organiser of the Serie A championship .
