Africa/CAF: Tecno (smartphones) partner of the TotalEnergies AFCON for two editions (2025 & 2027)

Chinese smartphone manufacturer Tecno has become an official partner of the next two editions of the TotalEnergies AFCON, scheduled for 2025 (in Morocco) and 2027 (in Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda), announced the Confederation of African Football on 05/06/2025.

The Chinese group was previously involved as exclusive sponsor, in the smartphone category, of the TotalEnergies AFCON Ivory Coast 2023. "This partnership resulted in unprecedented growth in engagement and reach for Tecno and increased Tecno's commitment to African football," said CAF.

Under this renewed agreement, Tecno retains exclusivity in the smartphones category for the 2025 and 2027 editions of the AFCON and is ranked 2^nd in the body's sponsorship hierarchy, alongside four other partners. In particular, the brand will benefit from visibility during the competitions as well as on social media.

The two partners will also continue the "Dream Field Renovation" initiative, launched jointly in 2024, which aims to renovate 100 football pitches on the African continent by 2028 in order to "promote healthy living, foster youth…
