Women's sport: TF1 sublicenses 12 Euro & Rugby World Cup matches to France Télévisions (press)

The French private free-TV group TF1 has sublicensed the rights to broadcast 12 matches (out of 31) from the Women's Euro 2025 and 12 matches (out of 32) from the Women's Rugby World Cup 2025 to the public broadcasting group France Télévisions, according to the sports daily L'Équipe on 06/06/2025.

Among the 12 matches in the football competition transferred to France Télévisions are the match between the French women's team and Wales (Martchday 2 of the group stage, Group D), scheduled for 09/07 (kick-off at 21:00 CET). As for rugby, the public group has been awarded the broadcasting rights for France - Brazil on 31/08 (17:45) and France - South Africa on 07/09 (17:45), according to L'Équipe, which added that France Télévisions has been awarded the broadcasting rights for the quarter-finals and one semi-final for each competition, excluding the French national team.

TF1 acquired the exclusive rights to broadcast the entire Women's Euro 2025 football tournament on 28/09/2023. It then obtained the same rights for the Women's Rugby World Cup 2025 on 05/10/2023.
