Boxing: Netflix announces new global sports rights acquisition with the Alvarez - Crawford fight

Netflix has acquired the global broadcasting rights to the boxing match between Mexico's Saúl "Canelo" Alvarez and America's Terence Crawford, scheduled for Saturday 13/09/2025, announced the streaming platform on 10/06/2025. The event will take place in Las Vegas (Nevada, USA).

The fight will be promoted by the Riyadh Season cultural festival, TKO (a joint venture between the UFC and WWE) and Sela (owned by the Saudi sovereign wealth fund PIF). This is a new acquisition of global sports rights for the streaming service. After broadcasting several fights featuring influencer and professional boxer, Jake Paul, the platform will broadcast the third boxing match between Ireland's Katie Taylor and American Amanda Serrano on 11/07/2025.
