FIFA Club World Cup 2025: 60,927 spectators for the opening match Al Ahly - Inter Miami in Miami

60,927 spectators turned out at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami (Florida, USA) for the inaugural match of the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 between Al Ahly FC (Egyptian Premier League) and Inter Miami CF (MLS) (0-0) on Saturday 14/06, announced FIFA on 15/06/2025.

"We witnessed an exciting opening match between Al Ahly FC and Inter Miami CF, played in an amazing atmosphere at a packed Hard Rock Stadium in Miami," said FIFA of the match at the 65,000-capacity stadium.

FIFA described the match as a "resounding success", despite the fact that, according to the American media outlet The Athletic, fewer than 20,000 tickets had been sold for the match just a few days before it was due to take place. According to the same source, in view of the risk of unfilled stands, the world governing body decided to offer promotional rates to the 100,000 students of Miami Dade College, with which it has entered into a partnership in 2024. FIFA has reportedly proposed a $20 (€17.5) offer giving access to the Al Ahly - Inter Miami match as well as four additional matches.
