UEFA Women's Euro 2029: Munich, Dortmund & Leipzig among the 8 host cities in Germany's bid

The Deutscher Fussball Bund has announced the eight cities selected to host the UEFA Women's Euro 2029 finals as part of Germany's bid to host the competition on 13/06/2025.

Dortmund, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Hannover, Cologne, Leipzig, Munich and Wolfsburg are the eight cities chosen by the German Football Association's presidential board. "In reaching its decision, the presidential board followed the recommendation of a panel of DFB experts. Together with an internal DFB working group, the panel reviewed and evaluated the bid submissions of the eleven cities and stadiums that had made it through the initial phase of the national selection process. Alongside the eight selected host cities, Berlin, Gelsenkirchen and Rostock had also submitted bids," explained the DFB.

In order to respond to the call for tenders launched by UEFA on 23/07/2024, candidates had to have eight stadiums and meet the following four criteria:
• a stadium with a capacity of at least 50,000;
• three stadiums with a capacity of at least 30,000;
• four stadiums with a capacity of 20,000 or more;
