Champions League: Liga BBVA monopolizes 50% of the semi-final places since 2011 (5 editions)

Clubs from the Liga BBVA, the Spanish first division, make up 10 of the 20 places in the semi-finals of the Champions League for the 2011-2015 period, announced the LFP on 23/04/2015. Real Madrid CF has been present in the semi-finals every year since 2011, FC Barcelona four times (not in 2014) and Club Atlético de Madrid once (in 2014).

After the Liga BBVA is the Bundesliga with six semi-final berths: four for FC Bayern Munich (present in the semi-finals every year since 2012) and one each for Borussia Dortmund (2013) and FC Schalke 04 (2011). The Barclays Premier League has three entries (Chelsea FC in 2012 and 2014, Manchester United FC in 2011), while the Serie A TIM has one through Juventus, qualified for the 2015 semi-finals.
