"This is a huge opportunity, a gateway that should not be overlooked. Players who are not well-suited to the business world (of football) in France will have the opportunity to try their luck in the United States," stated François Blaquart, the national technical director of the FFF, to News Tank Football on 22/06/2015.

FFF and University Elite Athletes, the organisation representing MLS in Europe, have partnered to foster the integration into US universities of young French players who have not yet signed a professional contract on 11/03/2015. "This agreement is a continuation of the partnership with MLS in which the French Federation has trained, for two years, the training centre coaches of 18 MLS clubs," stated the FFF on 11/03/2015.

"We're talking about young people who, if they remained in France, would play in the non-professional French leagues and continue their studies in parallel.
