• The new Club World Cup "breaks up the ecosystem of professional football; If Real Madrid CF or Club Atlético de Madrid go far in the Club World Cup, we already have a problem because their 2025-26 LALIGA EA Sports matches will need to be suspended," said Javier Tebas, president of LALIGA, at the Sports Summit Madrid (ESP).
• The American consortium Black Knight Football Club, already owner of AFC Bournemouth (Premier League) and minority shareholder in FC Lorient (promoted to Ligue 1), has become majority shareholder in Moreirense FC (Liga Portugal Betclic).
• German group Deutsche Telekom has reportedly extended its main shirt sponsorship contract with FC Bayern Munich (Bundesliga) until 2031-32, for a total of €325m (around €65m/year), according to German daily Bild.
• West Ham United FC (Premier League) has extended its global partnership with Corpay, a specialist in international payments and foreign exchange solutions.
