"I feel that the commissioner (in charge of education, culture, youth and sports), who has been attentive to our arguments and responsive to our requests, completely understands the importance of our fight," said Philippe Piat, the president of FIFPro, after a meeting dedicated to the "fight" of the international players' union "for a thorough reform of the transfer system" with the Hungarian European Commissioner Tibor Navracsics in Brussels (BEL) on 23/04/2015

"Our approach will therefore not in be vain and I welcome that. This is a great thing for FIFPro and for all footballers. The Commissioner was also particularly sensitive to the issue of non-payment of wages in Europe, affecting a growing number of players and countries. And he has, in this area too, understood that football has to fundamentally reform, including the need to protect employees," added Philippe Piat.
