European Top 5: an average of 33,549 spectators/game & average stadium fill rate of 89.6% in 2024-25

The 96 clubs that competed in the European Top 5 leagues during the 2024-25 season posted an average attendance of 33,549 spectators per match, up 1.7% from 2023-24 (32,965 per match). The average stadium fill rate reached 89.67% in 2024-25, compared with 88.92% in 2023-24.

The English top flight saw the biggest increase in average attendance compared with 2023-24 (+4.5%), with an average of 40,385 spectators per game. The Premier League, which dominates the European Top 5, was ahead of the Bundesliga (38,657, -2%). Next was the Serie A Enilive (30,463, -0.7%), followed by LALIGA EA Sports (29,987, +3%) and finally the Ligue 1 McDonald's (27,948, 3%).

In terms of average stadium fill rates, the Premier League leads the way (98.2%), ahead of the Bundesliga (97.1%), Ligue 1 McDonald's (86.7%), Serie A Enilive (84%) and LALIGA EA Sports (82.6%).

With 81,365 spectators per game at Signal Iduna Park (81,365 capacity), Borussia Dortmund (Bundesliga) were the club that had the highest average attendance during the 2024-25 season, ahead of FC Bayern Munich (75,000) and Manchester United FC…
