FC Barcelona: a return to the Spotify Camp Nou on 10/08/2025 for the Joan Gamper Trophy

FC Barcelona (LALIGA EA Sports) will return for the first time since the summer 2023 to the Spotify Camp Nou on 10/08/2025 for the Joan Gamper Trophy (opponent not known, as of 25/06), the Catalan club announced on 25/06/2025.

Barça will thus be coming back to their home stadium in a partially reopened configuration after two full seasons played at the Estadio Lluís Companys Olympic in Montjuïc (Barcelona) as part of the renovation and extension work (from 99,354 to 105,000 seats) on their stadium.

"It’s important to note, however, that this return will happen while construction work continues in various areas of the stadium. Remaining works include the completion of the new third tier, the dual VIP ring, the roof installation, and the final touches to various interior spaces, as well as the urban development of the stadium’s surrounding area."

• Barça have asked LALIGA to play their first four matches of the 2025-26 LALIGA EA Sports season away to allow work to progress more quickly, according to several Spanish media.
