Women's Euro 2025: record prize money for the federations, players and their clubs

UEFA has allocated a record €41m to the 16 participating federations, with between 30% and 40% of this amount going to the players and a further €9m to their clubs. These are the three main figures for the financial outlay for the Women's Euro 2025, which kicks off in Switzerland on Wednesday 02/07/2025 (see calendar below).

The €41m in bonuses for the associations represents a 156% increase on the €16m for the 2022 tournament (played in England), as UEFA pointed out on 16/12/2024. The winning team, if they win every match in the competition, will be able to accumulate a total of €5.1m, compared with a maximum of €2.08m in 2022

"Each participating national federation must allocate between 30% and 40% of the total prize money received to its players. For teams that reach the knockout phase, it is recommended that between 35% and 40% of the total income be given to the players," recommended UEFA, the organising body.
