UEFA: "2,500 volunteers & over 1,400 people delivering Women's Euro 2025 in Switzerland" (N. Kessler)

"It's a huge privilege to lead this immense tournament with a huge number of incredible people. Women's Euro is a now large-scale event, with 2,500 volunteers and over 1,400 people delivering this tournament here in Switzerland," said former German international Nadine Kessler, UEFA's director for women's football, on 30/06/2025.

Women's Euro 2025 kicks off in Switzerland on Wednesday 02/07/2025 (see calendar below) with two matches:
• Iceland - Finland (Group A) in Thun (canton of Bern) at 18:00 CET.
• Switzerland - Norway (Group A) in Zurich (canton of Zurich) at 21:00.

"One of our key goals was to sell out the event. I remember how people laughed when we set this goal, but it's now turning into a reality. Already, 22 matches (out of 31) are sold out, and 600,000 tickets overall (out of the 700,000 available)," said Nadine Kessler.

35% of tickets have been sold outside Switzerland: "Already there are 61,000 Germans, 41,000 English, 16,000 French, 15,000 Dutch and 5,000 American fans. I think we are at 114 nationalities and that's exactly what we want - that's unheard of in women's…
