Social Media/LALIGA EA Sports: 125 million new followers for the 20 clubs in 2024-25

The 20 clubs that participated in the 2024-25 LALIGA EA Sports season had a total of 1.058 billion followers on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and X on 02/07/2025, almost 125 million more than on 01/08/2024, according to data compiled by News Tank Football. The Spanish league has an average of around 53 million followers per club.

Real Madrid CF is the most followed club with 423 million followers, including 34 million new followers gained over the season (+8.7%). The Madrid club is ahead of FC Barcelona, the 2^nd most popular club with 370 million, with 42.2 million new followers (+12.9%). Club Atlético de Madrid is in third place with 72 million followers, including nearly 12 million additional followers acquired in 2024-25 (+19.3%).

In relative terms, the best percentage growth can be attributed to CD Leganés (promoted in 2024-25 but relegated at the end of the season), whose digital community has grown by 61.9% since 01/08/2024. They are followed by Real Valladolid CF (+40.8%) and Real Betis Balompié (+33.5%).
