Serie A: the Italian brand Kappa to become the kit supplier SSC Napoli 2015-16 to 2019-20

The Italian sportswear brand Kappa will be the kit supplier to SSC Napoli (Serie A TIM) from the the 2015-16 season until 2019-20, announced BasicNet, the parent company of the brand, on 27/04/2015.

The five-year partnership is estimated at €40m, or €8m a year, according to the Italian daily Corriere Dello Sport. Kappa replaces the Italian brand Macron, whose agreement is estimated at between €2 and €3m for the 2014-15 season. Kappa had already been the kit supplier to Napoli during the 2004-05 and 2005-06 seasons.

  • The 20 kit suppliers contracts in the Serie A come to an average value estimated at €3.5m for the 2014-15 season.
  • In total, the various agreements of the Italian championship represent an overall amount of €70m, €100m less than the Barclays Premier League in 2014-15.
  • The three major contracts in the Serie A: AC Milan-adidas (€20m), FC Internazionale-Nike (€18.1m) and Juventus-Nike (€13.1m) account for 73% (€51.2m) of the total sum paid by the brands to Italian clubs in 2014-15.
