CONCACAF: Champions League final series draws record crowds in Mexico City and Montreal

The 2014-15 Scotiabank CONCACAF Champions League final series between Club America (Liga Bancomer MX, MEX) and the Montreal Impact, (MLS, USA-CAN) will draw a total of over 140,000 spectators for the two matches with the second leg match, Montreal Impact - Club America on 29/04/2015 at the Stade Olympique de Montreal (kick-off at 20:00 local time) now sold-old, announced MLS on 28/04/2015.

The 61,004 spectators expected to attend the second leg match will be a new record attendance mark for football in Canada. The current record attendance for a football match in Canada was also in Montreal, with 60,860 spectators attending the Montreal Impact - LA Galaxy MLS regular season game (1-1) in the Stade Olympique on 12/05/2012.

The first match of the CONCACAF Champions League series, Club America - Montreal Impact (1-1) on 22/04/2015 was also reportedly sold-old, with the capacity of the Estadio Azteca (Mexico City, MEX) at 105,000. However, the actual attendance of the match has not been confirmed, and is thought to have been between 80,000 and 90,000 spectators.
