Piracy/LFP: blocking of pirate sites & IPTV services ordered by the Paris Court of First Instance

"In a decision handed down on 10/07/2025, the president of the Paris Court of First Instance ordered French ISPs to block access to pirate live streaming sites and IPTV services. For the first time, the Court has also ordered the blocking, on the basis of article L. 333-10 of the French Sports Code, of an application illegally broadcasting the Ligue 1 McDonald's and Ligue 2 BKT", announced the Ligue de Football Professionnel on 11/07/2025.

"The LFP and LFP Media welcome this new decision by the Paris Court of First Instance, which ruled within an extremely short timeframe and which will protect the entire Ligue 1 McDonald's and Ligue 2 BKT for the coming season. This decision once again recognises the right of the LFP and LFP Media to obtain injunctions before the start of the seasons, in order to protect their rights from Matchday 1 of the Ligue 1 McDonald's and Ligue 2 BKT championships," added the League.
