Multi-club ownership/2025-26 Conference League: CAS confirms exclusion of Slovakian club FK DAC 1904

"The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) has dismissed an appeal by Slovakian football club FK DAC 1904 (Niké Liga, 1^st division) against UEFA concerning a decision to remove the club from the 2025-26 UEFA Conference League due to non-compliance with the UEFA Regulations on multi club ownership," announced CAS on 14/07/2025.

"DAC and the Hungarian club Györi ETO FC (Hungarian 1^st division), which also qualified for the competition, have ownership structures that include the financial holding company EEA Holding B.V. The UEFA decision stated that three members of the same family were involved, either directlyor indirectly, in the 'shareholding/membership of both clubs' and 'in the governance of both clubs'."

DAC had appealed against the decision of UEFA's Club Financial Control Body (CFCB) dated 26/06/2025. According to the European Confederation's body, the club "did not comply with the multi club ownership criteria in UEFA's Conference League Regulations (Art. 5.01) as of the assessment date of 01/03/2025."
