LALIGA EA Sports: RCD Espanyol sold by Rastar Group (CHN) to ALK Capital (USA), owner of Burnley FC

Rastar Group, a Chinese company specialised in the manufacture of remote-controlled and miniature cars and owner of RCD Espanyol (LALIGA EA Sports), is selling the club to Velocity Sports Limited, the sports investment arm of US company ALK Capital, which already owns Burnley FC (Premier League), announced the Spanish club on 14/07/2025.

According to the Spanish media, the deal has two components:
• the acquisition of the club by VSL for €130m;
• the acquisition of a 16.45% stake in VSL by Rastar Group for €65m.

"With this deal, RC Espanyol and the English club (Burnley FC) will be part of this investment group, which expands its interests by having a club in LALIGA and another in the Premier League - although each will remain independent. Despite the agreement reached, this process is still pending officialisation and completion until all administrative procedures are formalised," said the Catalan club, on whose board Rastar will retain a seat.
