Stade Brestois: public inquiry confirms Arkéa Park project is in the public interest

The public inquiry initiated by the commission of inquiry appointed by the Administrative Court into the project for a new "Arkéa Park" stadium for Stade Brestois 29 (Ligue 1 McDonald's) in the Froutven sector of Guivapas (Finistère, FRA) has confirmed that the project is in the public interest, according to the various stakeholders on 15/07/2025.

This "unreservedly favourable opinion" was issued after "receiving more than 2,200 contributions from the general public, which made it possible to identify a truly representative range of opinions and confirm the relevance of the project in terms of the challenges facing the area". It also concerns the project requiring the compatibility of Brest Métropole's inter-municipal local urban development plan (PLU), linked to the stadium.

"The conclusions of the commission of inquiry thus complete the State's decision of 26/02/2025, which recognised the Arkéa Park project as being in the general interest by registering it as a sports facility with this status," said the club.
