Bundesliga: Konami (video games) succeeds EA Sports as a partner of Borussia Dortmund from 2025-26

Japanese video games publisher Konami has become a premium partner of Borussia Dortmund (Bundesliga) from the 2025-26 season, announced the club at the eFootball World Festival, held in Tokyo (JPN) to celebrate the 30^th anniversary of the eFootball video game, on 21/07/2025.

Konami thus moves up to the second level in BVB's sponsorship hierarchy. The agreement includes the modelling of the Signal Iduna Park and the official Borussia Dortmund shirts within the eFootball video game. "BVB legends and renowned content creators will also be involved in dedicated collaborations and activations," said the club.

Konami became a licensing partner of Borussia Dortmund in the 2016-17 season, under an agreement that was initially due to run until 2019-20, but was prematurely terminated after two years, at the end of the 2017-18 season. The American video game publisher EA Sports took over as the German club's premium partner from the 2018-19 season until the end of 2024-25.
