Women's football: launch of the Women's European Leagues platform, chaired by Fiona McIntyre (SCO)

European Leagues has announced the launch of the Women's European Leagues platform, which aims to "drive development and professionalism in women's league football," on 22/07/2025. The launch took place during a meeting of several representatives of women's professional national club competitions at the European Leagues headquarters in Nyon (Switzerland) on the same day.

"Participants appointed a management board composed of four league leaders - including a chair - Fiona McIntyre, managing director of the SWPL (in charge of Scotland's top two women's divisions) to represent them." Nikki Doucet, CEO of WSL Football, Beatriz Alvarez, president of Liga F, and Anders Billström, president of Elitfotboll (Swedish league), are the other three members of the board.
