Everton FC: chief financial officer James Maryniak to leave in August 2025

James Maryniak, chief financial officer of Everton FC (Premier League), will leave his post in August 2025, announced the club on 28/07/2025.

James Maryniak, who will leave "following the opening of Hill Dickinson Stadium (Liverpool, 52,888 capacity)", joined the club in 2017 as head of financial planning and analysis before being promoted to finance director in 2022 and then chief financial officer in 2023.

This departure comes almost three months after the appointment of Angus Kinnear as Everton's CEO on 13/05/2025. It is part of a wider change that began with the approval of the acquisition of the club by The Friedkin Group (USA) on 19/12/2024. This acquisition was led by Roundhouse Capital Holdings Limited, part of The Friedkin Group, which also owns AS Roma (Serie A Enilive) and AS Cannes (National 2). The group acquired the 94.1% stake in Blue Heaven Holdings Limited, an Isle of Man-registered company owned by British-Iranian Farhad Moshiri.
