Bundesliga: Borussia Mönchengladbach achieve record turnover of €129.8m in 2014

VfL Borussia Mönchengladbach (Bundesliga) achieved a turnover of €129.8m in 2014 (01/01/2014 to 31/12/2014), announced the club at its annual general meeting in Borussia-Park (capacity 59,724) in Mönchengladbach (GER) on 20/04/2015. This is a new record amount for the club, up 6% over the €122.3m in turnover in 2012.

The turnover of Die Fohlen ("the Foals") is up 42% compared to 2013 (€91.4m). Borussia Mönchengladbach also announced a 2014 profit before tax of €21.32m, and a net profit of €12.75m, nearly 4 times more than in 2013 (€2.16m), but still 16% less the than record net profit of the club of €15.25m in 2012.

    The €38.4m increase in turnover in 2014 is largely due to a 65% increase in audiovisual revenue, from €26m in 2013 to €43m in 2014, due to the club's participation in the 2014-15 Europa League, indicated Stephan Schippers, the CEO of Borussia Mönchengladbach.
