Burnley FC: partnership with Rezzil to broadcast pre-season match versus SS Lazio in virtual reality

Burnley FC (Premier League) has partnered with Manchester-based UK virtual reality software developer Rezzil to broadcast its pre-season match versus SS Lazio (Serie A Enilive) in virtual reality on Saturday 09/08/2025, announced the club on 30/07/2025.

"Through this collaboration, fans of the beautiful game can experience the full match live in VR using the Premier League Player app on Meta Quest headsets - bringing the energy of Turf Moor (Burnley, ENG) directly into homes across the globe," said the club promoted to the Premier League for the 2025-26 season. Fans will be able to enjoy a free virtual seat inside the stadium with a panoramic view of the pitch via the Meta Quest Store.

Rezzil also partnered with the Premier League to create a virtual reality game on 27/03/2024. The Premier League Player game was launched at the end of 2024 as part of this collaboration. The Premier League has also become a minority shareholder in Rezzil.
