Formula 1: Frédéric Vasseur (FRA) extends as team principal of Scuderia Ferrari HP

Frédéric Vasseur has extended as team principal of Scuderia Ferrari HP (Formula 1) as part of a "a multiple-year contract," announced the Italian team on 31/07/2025.

The Frenchman took up his post in January 2023, succeeding the Italian Mattia Binotto, who resigned on 29/11/2022. "Since then, he has laid a solid foundation with the ambition of returning Ferrari to the top of Formula 1. Renewing Fred's contract reflects Ferrari's determination to build on the foundations laid so far. His ability to lead under pressure, embrace innovation, and pursue performance aligns fully with Ferrari’s values and long-term ambitions," said the stable, which is thus retaining its main team for the entry into force of the new technical regulations in 2026.

This extension comes after the Italian media La Gazzetta dello Sport and Corriere della Sera reported in June 2025 that Frédéric Vasseur might leave the team at the end of his current contract, which is due to expire at the end of the 2025 season.
