Atalanta BC: Gewiss extends as back shirt sponsor but relinquishes stadium naming rights in 2025-26

Gewiss, an Italian company specialised in solutions and products for home automation, energy and lighting, has extended its partnership with Atalanta BC (Serie A Enilive) but relinquished the naming rights to its stadium, announced the club on 05/08/2025.

The 24,950-capacity stadium had been renamed Gewiss Stadium under a naming agreement covering six seasons (2019-2026) and valued at €700,000 a year. The Italian brand is the only one to have lent its name to the Stadio di Bergamo, which Atalanta acquired from the city of Bergamo for €8.6m on 08/08/2017. In addition to naming rights, the agreement also included the provision of staff and services relating to the lighting and energy distribution within the stadium.

Gewiss will, however, retain a presence on the Italian club's kit and will continue to be displayed on the back of the club's shirts, underneath the players' numbers. The brand had acquired the rights for this sponsorship space as part of the stadium's naming agreement, and has been present there since the 2019-20 season.
