Los Angeles 2028: a task force chaired by Donald Trump "to ensure maximum safety"

Donald J. Trump, President of the United States, has signed an executive order establishing a White House task force for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games, in the presence of Casey Wasserman, chairman of the LA28 organising committee, in Washington D.C. on 05/08/2025.

This task force "will lead a unified effort to ensure maximum safety, secure borders, and world-class transportation for millions of visitors throughout the 2028 Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games," according to the 47^th President of the United States, who will chair the task force in person, while James David Vance, his Vice President, will also serve as vice chair. Donald Trump has promised to mobilise "the entire federal government to ensure the games are safe, seamless and historically successful" and that he may use the "National Guard or military" to do so.
