LALIGA EA Sports: Premier Sports & Disney+ broadcasters in the UK for the 2025-2028 cycle

The pay-TV group Premier Sports has extended its rights to broadcast LALIGA EA Sports in the UK and Ireland over the 2025-2028 cycle (three seasons), while The Walt Disney Company has acquired them for these territories over the same period, announced LALIGA on 07/08/2025.

Premier Sports will broadcast "over 340 live matches per season" from the Spanish top flight. The group will also offer "the biggest games every week" from LALIGA Hypermotion. The Disney+ streaming platform will exclusively broadcast one LALIGA EA Sports game per matchday, on Saturdays at 20:30 BST. This is the first competition to be broadcast by the platform in the UK and Ireland.

Premier Sports owned the full TV rights to LALIGA EA Sports in these markets over the 2022-2025 cycle. The free-to-air TV group ITV subsequently acquired the rights to 10 games per season of the competition from Premier Sports for the same period.

Disney already holds the English and Spanish language broadcasting rights to LALIGA EA Sports in the United States for its ESPN media group for the 2021-2029 cycle. The total value of the deal…
