USA: after the failure of Venu Sports, Fox & ESPN to launch new OTT services on 21/08/2025

Fox and ESPN (The Walt Disney Company) will each launch their new streaming services in the United States on 21/08/2025, announced the two media groups on 06/08/2025.

These launches come a few months after the failure of the Venu Sports joint platform project between Disney, Fox and Warner Bros. Discovery. They had announced the creation of this joint streaming platform dedicated to broadcasting sports competitions in February 2024. However, legal proceedings brought by the Fubo platform, as well as an injunction prohibiting the launch of this new service by the Federal Court for the Southern District of New York (USA) on 16/08/2024, led to the project being abandoned in January 2025.

The "Fox One" service will be available for $19.99 (€17.2) a month or $199.99 (€172) per year. "Fox One will bring all of FOX's leading news, sports and entertainment branded content together in one dynamic streaming platform," said the company.
