Montpellier Hérault: "We hope to find a buyer for the women's team as soon as possible" (L. Nicollin)

"We're hoping to find a buyer as soon as possible. We've been in discussions for two or three months with certain people. They have exclusive rights. We're in the exchange, discussion and document phase. We're waiting for someone to validate that we can actually take over the women's section," said Laurent Nicollin, president of Montpellier Hérault Sport Club (Ligue 2 BKT / Arkema Première Ligue), to the French regional daily newspaper Midi Libre on 07/08/2025. The newspaper mentioned the possible involvement of "British" investors.

"There is absolutely no financial income. We boast about women's football, but there's no money, there's no advertising revenue, there's nothing. It's not developing.
