2025-26 Premier League: all you need to know regarding broadcasting in the UK & internationally

Liverpool FC - AFC Bournemouth, the first game of the 2025-26 Premier League season, scheduled for Friday 15/08/2025 (kick-off at 20:00 local time, 21:00 CET), will be broadcast on the channels of the pay-TV group Sky in the UK.

This is a new cycle of TV rights for the English top flight in the UK. Sky, TNT Sports (pay-TV) and the BBC (public broadcasting) renewed their domestic broadcasting rights to the Premier League for the 2025-2029 cycle (four seasons), on 04/12/2023.

For the first time, these rights have been granted over four years (compared with three previously), and are worth a total of £6.7bn (€7.8bn as of 04/12/2023), or £1.67bn per year (€1.96bn), which represents "a 4% increase in live rights value compared to the previous process," according to the Premier League.

Sky broadcasts a "minimum" of 215 live matches per season (up from 128 over the 2022-2025 cycle), while TNT Sports broadcasts 52 (unchanged from the previous cycle).
