2025-26 LALIGA EA Sports: all you need to know regarding broadcasting in Spain & internationally

Girona FC - Rayo Vallecano de Madrid, the first match of the 2025-26 LALIGA EA Sports season, will be broadcast in Spain on the pay-TV channel Movistar Plus+ (Telefonica Group) on Friday 15/08/2025 (kick-off at 19:00 CET). The other games on Matchday 1 will be broadcast on pay-TV channels in the Movistar Plus+ bouquet or on the OTT platform DAZN.

Over the 2022-2027 cycle, Movistar Plus+ and DAZN will each broadcast five games per matchday of equal choice, on 35 of the 38 matchdays. Three matchdays per season will be broadcast exclusively on Movistar Plus+. These rights were acquired for €4.95bn (an average of €990m per season) on 13/12/2021.

DAZN was also awarded the rights to broadcast one free-to-air game per matchday over the 2025-2027 cycle, on 13/05/2025. The platform will pay an additional €4m per season for these rights, which are held by the audiovisual group Mediapro over the 2022-2025 cycle, according to Spanish media outlet 2Playbook.
