FC Bayern Munich: Michael Diederich, chief financial officer since 2023, to step down on 30/09/2025

Michael Diederich, chief financial officer and executive vice president of FC Bayern Munich (Bundesliga), will step down from his position on 30/09/2025, nine months before the scheduled end of his term of office (which initially ran until 30/06/2026), in order to "to take on a new professional challenge," announced the club on 07/08/2025.

"CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen and board member for sport Max Eberl will carry out the board's duties until further notice. FC Bayern will announce a successor to Michael Diederich and the future division of tasks on the board in due course," explained the German club.

Michael Diederich joined Bayern's supervisory board in December 2018, before becoming the Bavarian club's CFO and executive vice president in July 2023 following a transition period that began on 01/04/2023. He has also been a member of the DFL's executive committee since December 2024, when he took over from Jan-Christian Dreesen, Bayern's CEO and chairman of the board.
